Reekado Banks says AI music takes away from the experience, but he is not scared of it

Nigerian singer and songwriter Reekado Banks says artificial intelligence can take away from the experience of making and enjoying music, but he insists he is not afraid of the technology.

Speaking in an interview on ARISE News on Saturday, he said AI-generated music is easy to recognise because of its very polished sound, which he believes affects how people experience a song.

The singer said he uses AI to research subjects when developing ideas for songs, instead of relying on it to create music from start to finish.

He also said he enjoys performing live more than recording in the studio, because it lets him share his music directly with fans in what he described as a complete entertainment experience.
