Reuben And Kike Abati Unveil Joint Podcast As Wife Marks 20 Year Media Anniversary

Broadcaster Kikelomo Abati and her husband, journalist Reuben Abati, have launched a joint podcast called Reuben and Kike Abati. The launch was part of a celebration of her 20 years in the media and the seventh anniversary of her programme, Real Talk With Kike.

The event took place on Saturday, October 10, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. It was themed “The Future of Nigeria: Where Leadership, Innovation, Culture and Media Converge to Shape Nation Building.”

The programme included panel discussions on governance, accountability, cultural identity, artificial intelligence and the future of the media. Guests included political office holders, business executives, media professionals and entertainment personalities. Actor and broadcaster Yemi Shodimu and media personality Riyah Abdul hosted, gospel musician Beejay Sax performed, and there were giveaways for the show’s audience.

Real Talk With Kike is a talk programme on television and radio covering leadership, relationships, business, culture and national issues. The new podcast gives the couple a digital platform to carry those conversations to a wider audience.

Before the event, organisers had announced a speaker line-up that included Hamzat, Kola Adesina, Toyosi Akerele and Bola Adesola.
